Javier APARICIO participa el pasado 10 de Enero en el programa de radio de difusión popular “Todos Seguros” dirigido por Miguel Benito y conducido por Javier Silvestre.
Durante el programa se explicó la función social de ACTUARIS como “una empresa que aconseja a las aseguradoras de como estar seguras”.

“ACTUARIS es consultora especializada en gestión del riesgo y produce herramientas que ayudan a controlarlo. En mi Firma tenemos dos objetivos, aclara Javier Aparicio: Asesorar a las aseguradoras y reaseguradoras a calcular los fondos que deben tener invertidos para pagar indemnizaciones y beneficios, y ayudarlas a entender qué tienen que hacer para valorar y minimizar los riesgos derivados de su actividad”.
Añade que “ACTUARIS está capacitada para certificar las reservas de cualquier aseguradora en el mercado Español y cree que la competencia en la actividad de consultoría actuarial es muy positiva y ayuda a mejorar la calidad del balance de las entidades”.
La situación del mercado financiero y asegurador ha cambiado enormemente y el público escucha sorprendido la aparición de nuevos términos que no comprende exactamente. “Agencias de calificación”, “rating”, “prima de riesgo país”. Detrás de estos términos se esconde en realidad la solvencia de las aseguradoras.
“El público pretende que sus aseguradoras presten un servicio correcto, respondan en el momento en que la necesitamos y queremos que su comportamiento sea el que esperamos. Hablamos de dos conceptos clave: el comportamiento y la solvencia del asegurador. Ambos ayudan a que el público adquiera una mejor percepción del seguro”.
Javier APARICIO finalizó su intervención aludiendo al imparable proceso de concentración en el mercado financiero y asegurador que aún se vislumbra en el 2012: “Las entidades supervivientes serán los más grandes, los más solventes y los más flexibles que se hayan especializado”.

“ACTUARIS is consulting firm specializing in risk management and produces tools to help to control it.  My Firm has two main objectives, explains Javier Aparicio: advising insurers and reinsurers to calculate funds which must be invested to pay compensation and benefits, and helping insurers to understand what they have to do to assess and minimize the risks arising from their own activity".
He added that "ACTUARIS is qualified to certify reserves of any insurer in the Spanish Market and believes that competition in the actuarial consultancy activities is very positive and helps to improve the quality of the balance of institutions".  
The situation of the financial and insurance market has changed dramatically and the public is hearing surprised the emergence of new terms, which do not understand exactly: "Rating agencies" or "country risk premium". The solvency of insurers is actually behind these terms.  "The public aims their insurers to provide a proper service, respond in the moment they are requested to do it, and expect a fair behavior". “We are talking about two key concepts: the behavior and the solvency of the insurer. Both are helping the public to improve the perception of insurance”.
Javier APARICIO ended his speech referring to the unstoppable process of concentration in the financial and insurance market that still looms in 2012: "surviving entities will be the largest, most solvents and the more flexible that have been specialized".

The draft ISAP1 (International Standard of Actuarial Practice 1)  has just been published by the IAA (International Actuarial Association). This text aims at standardizing the role & working standards of the actuaries worldwide.
The GTSA (Groupe de Travail sur les Standards Actuariels), French Working Group on actuarial standards, leaded by Viviane Leflaive (KPMG) and Pierre MIEHE (ACTUARIS) has just published its recommendations.
